Dr. Rachel Allen, Psy.D.
Rachel Allen, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in working with adults navigating caregiving stress, illness, insomnia, and identity shifts. She provides therapy for those who appear “put together” on the outside but feel drained, disconnected, or stuck on the inside. Many of her clients are balancing careers, family responsibilities, and invisible labor—often while facing their own health challenges—and are looking for therapy that is both compassionate and practical.
Dr. Allen’s approach is collaborative, direct, and deeply attuned to the interplay between mental, physical, and emotional health. Drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), she tailors each session to the client’s needs and goals. Her work often integrates nervous system regulation, sleep-focused interventions, and strategies for reclaiming energy and a sense of self. She creates a space where clients can set down the weight of holding everything together and focus on what truly matters to them.
With a background in health psychology and years of experience in integrated medical and behavioral health settings, Dr. Allen brings expertise in the complexities of chronic illness, pain, and the impact of caregiving. She is licensed in Pennsylvania and New York, and also practices in all PSYPACT states, allowing her to work with clients across most of the U.S. Her sessions are offered via secure telehealth, making it possible for clients to access consistent, high-quality care from home.
Dr. Allen’s goal is to help clients move from a state of constant “pushing through” to living in a way that works for the life they have now—restoring energy, clarity, and connection along the way.
