Online Therapy in 40+ States
We work with clients in 40+ states through secure online therapy, and also offer in-person care at our two Philadelphia-area locations.

Being a physician, nurse, therapist, or other healthcare professional means carrying a specific kind of weight. The volume of exposure to suffering, the impossible schedules, the moral weight of decisions, the identity built around being the one who holds it together, and often the fear that reaching out for help could put your license or reputation at risk.
The result is that healthcare workers are among the highest-risk populations for burnout, depression, anxiety, substance use, and insomnia, and among the least likely to receive care.
Meet Dr. Rachel Allen
Dr. Rachel Allen spent much of her career embedded in medical settings. Her postdoctoral fellowship at Cooper University Healthcare and years of practice at the Department of Veterans Affairs gave her direct working knowledge of the culture, pace, and pressures of healthcare work.
Her approach is direct, collaborative, and grounded in the mind-body connection. She draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT-I for sleep, and Motivational Interviewing to help medical professionals move out of survival mode and back toward the reasons they went into the field in the first place.
We take the specific demands of the field seriously. Our clinicians understand the healthcare environment and the concerns that come with seeking care as a licensed provider. Sessions are private-pay, out-of-network, and can be scheduled around clinical hours.
Depending on where you are, work may focus on:
Healthcare workers often wait until they are in crisis to reach out, in part because so few clinical spaces feel safe enough to be honest in. Structured, private, clinically rigorous therapy with a clinician who understands what your job actually is can change the trajectory long before things reach that point.

Dr. Salerno helped give me strength, courage, and a better sense of my self worth. She made me feel cared for and supported. She has truly changed my and my children’s lives for the better!
I was in a tenuous situation. Dr. Mullen got behind me in my corner and egged me on to just put one positive foot in front of the other and find myself on the other side. Currently, two years later and I’m stronger everyday.
